After spending time seeking out the right place to live and having your home built to meet your requirements it's good to know that the timber we use is treated to the highest standard.

This preserves the timber and protects it from wood boring insects and fungal attack.

We normally use a boron solution to pressure preservative treat all the Douglas fir in our homes. This is done in our own treatment plant, after machining of all the components. As it is a biostat, rather than a biocide, boron treatment is about as benign as any preservative can be.

It even concentrates where the greatest hazard may exist.
